April 17 and 19 we sit down with Tommy Myers as Mules baseball prepares for their final home series of the regular season. His team sits atop the standings and has clinched a spot in the MIAA Tournament. Also joining us is Susan Anderson of Jennies Softball. Her team is coming off a difficult series at Emporia State but will end their season with a four game home stand. In the Spotlight: we meet senior pitcher, for Mules baseball, Kurtis Schuyler, and senior outfielder for Jennies softball, Alex Groeger.

April 10 and 12 We welcome back Tommy Myers to discuss Mules baseball and Susan Anderson of Jennies Softball. The Mules sit atop the MIAA and the Jennies have won six of their last eight. In the spotlights: we talk to Brad Wilson, senior outfielder for Mules baseball. He is the team leader in HR’s and RBI’s. And in our second spotlight we meet Jakki Prater. This junior softball player leads her team in: HR’s, RBI’s, W’s, and innings pitched. She has done this by serving as a starting pitcher and utility player on her days off.

April 3 and April 5 The Mules are National Champions! Join us as we sit down with head basketball coach Kim Anderson who took his team to a 30-5 record this season and walked away with the NCAA D2 title. We also will be joined by UCM’s head baseball coach Tommy Myers. With an 11-1 record at home, his team is looking forward to this weekend’s pair of double headers at Crane Stadium. In the Spotlights we join Mule Nation, in Evansville, Indiana, for some pre-game and then join the rest of Warrensburg, and Gov. Jay Nixon, in welcoming home our national champions.

March 27 and March 29 Spring is here and that means it's time for some hardball and softball. Coaches Tommy Myers and Susan Anderson join us to discuss how their respective teams are doing on the diamond. In the Spotlight: Meet the inductees to the Hall of Fame, made up of eight individuals and five teams, the 2014 class includes Dr. Peggy Martin and five of her most accomplished volleyball teams.

February 27 and March 1 UCM basketball coaches Kim Anderson and Dave Slifer join us in the studio to discuss their latest wins over Southwestern Baptist University. With only one game left to play in the regular season, both teams are positioning themselves for high seeds in the MIAA tournament. In the Spotlight: We talk with senior guards Daylen Robinson and Quinnecia Twine, both of whom play key roles in UCM basketball’s success this season.

February 20 and 22 UCM basketball coaches Kim Anderson and Dave Slifer join us in the studio to discuss their latest wins over Lindenwood University. Both teams have 20 or more wins and are carrying winning streaks into their final three games of the season. In the Spotlight: Junior wrestler Frank Cagnina, and a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the ’83-’84 MIAA Basketball Dual Champions, Mules and Jennies.

February 13 and 15 UCM Men’s basketball coach Kim Anderson is in the studio to discuss his team’s recent MIAA matchups and Dave Slifer is here to discuss Jennies basketball as they remain atop the MIAA standings. In the Spotlight: We talk to seniors Charles Hammork and BreAnna Lewis as they help lead their respective teams toward the post season.

February 6 and 8 A look back at some of UCM’s Student Athletes that we’ve highlighted in our Spotlights this past season.

November 21 and 23 Coach Kim Anderson joins us in the studio to discuss his team’s four game win streak to start the season. And we talk Jennies’ basketball with head coach Dave Slifer. His team is ranked #6 and are also off to a 4-0 start. In the Spotlight: Senior guard Jon Gilliam and senior All-American, Keuna Flax. Both basketball players are primed for big years for their respective teams. Bill Turnage is guest host, as Shawn Jones was in Arkansas to accept the position of Athletic Director at Henderson State University.

November 14 and 16 - Coach Flip Piontek sits down with us to discuss his #5 ranked Jennies volleyball team and their upcoming match with #7 Nebraska-Kearney. And we talk Mules’ basketball with head coach Kim Anderson. His team has a lot of new faces but has gelled quickly and enters the season as the No. 3 pick in both the MIAA Preseason Coaches' and Media Polls. In the Spotlight: “Super Sophomores” Carly Sojka, Annie Reilly, and Mikalee Monachino. They have helped UCM volleyball attain a top five ranking, every week, over past eight weeks. We will also preview UCM wrestling’s upcoming season with coach Justin Ensign and Eric Mateo.

November 7 and 9 - coach Jim Svoboda sits down with us to discuss football’s blow-out win in Kearney, NE and look ahead at the Mule’s final game of the season where they’ll face the Lions of Fort Hayes State. And we welcome Dave Slifer back to our studio to preview Jennies’ basketball, picked first in MIAA preseason media poll and second in the coaches’ poll. In the Spotlight: #20, senior Safety, Ryan Berry. And we travel to Columbia as the Mules Basketball meets up with Mizzou for a pre-season “homecoming” match for coach Anderson.

October 31 and November 2 - coach Jim Svoboda sits down with us to discuss his team’s season high 51 points in its Homecoming win vs. Northeastern State. And coming off an MIAA regular season championship and MIAA tournament championship, coach Kim Anderson returns to our studio to discuss Mules basketball, ranked #3 in the MIAA preseason polls. In the Spotlight: #69, Mules’ kicker/punter, Zach Gebhardt, and we “Meet the Mules and Jennies” as both basketball teams prepare for their upcoming seasons.

October 24 and 26 -UCM football coach Jim Svoboda sits down with us to discuss his team’s recent road win in Edmond, OK. After enduring the most difficult first half schedule in the conference, UCM hopes to win out to end the season at 6-4. Also joining us in-studio is Jennies’ soccer coach Lewis Theobald. His team is ranked 24th in the nation and remains atop the MIAA. In the Spotlight: #32, Mules’ Linebacker, Ricky Spratley. We also talk to #5 Kristin Bright, a senior and defender for Jennies’ soccer.

October 17 and 19 - Mules Head Football Coach Jim Svoboda joins Shawn Jones in the studio to re-cap the Mules’ `most recent match-up with the Gorillas of Pitt State. Also in the studio is Jens’ Volleyball coach Flip Piontek. His Jennies team is 21-0 and are ranked no.4 nationally in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association D-2 poll. In the Spotlight: #84, Mules senior WR, Ronrei Lloyd and 3-time All-MIAA volleyball players Taylor Goodness and Julia Bates.

October 10 and 12 -Mules Head Football Coach Jim Svoboda joins Shawn Jones in the studio to re-cap the Mules’ trip to Joplin where they faced the Lions of Missouri Southern. Also in the studio is Jens’ Golf coach Chris Port. In only their second season, this young team will head to Edmond, OK next, where they will participate in the Central Oklahoma Classic. In the Spotlight: #4, Mules Team Captain and defensive back, Paul Hughes and Freshman Golfer, Kelly Welker.

October 3 and 5 -Mules Head Football Coach Jim Svoboda joins Shawn Jones in the studio to re-cap the Mules trip to Kirksville where they defeated the Truman Bulldogs. Also in the studio is Mules’ Golf coach Tim Poe. His team is moving up in the coaches’ polls and preparing to host the UCM Heart of America Invitational at Keth Memorial Golf Course. In the Spotlight: #6, Mules Quarterback, Hayden Hawk and preview the MIAA’s Heart of America Invitational Golf Tournament.

September 26 and 28 - Mules Head Football Coach Jim Svoboda joins Shawn Jones in the studio to re-cap the Mules win vs. Lindenwood and look forward to their next matchup at Truman St. Also in the studio is Cross Country coach Kirk Pederson. His teams recently finished first and third in their annual Mule Run, leaving the men’s team ranked third in the region. In the Spotlight: #86, Mules Tight End Cullen Rosine and MIAA Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week, Adam Tredway.

September 19 and 21 - Mules Head Football Coach Jim Svoboda joins Shawn Jones in the studio to re-cap the Mules trip to Maryville where they faced the #3 ranked Bearcats of Northwest.Also in the studio is coach Lewis Theobald of Jennnies Soccer, whose team is ranked #24 and is coming off a home win vs. Minot State. In the Spotlight: Mules Senior Nose Guard, Rico Wilson and Senior Forward for Jennies Soccer, Carly Stanley.

September 12 and 14 - We're back and, once again, proud to wear the Cardinal and Black! Sportspage returns for another exciting season as the Mules and Jennies look to continue their dominance on their respective fields of play and in the classroom! Mules Head Football Coach Jim Svoboda breaks down the Mules nail-biting home opener vs. Missouri Western, as well as their upcoming trip to Maryville where they will face number three ranked Northwestern. Jennies’ Head Volleyball Coach, Flip Piontek, will also stop by to discuss the Hilltopper-Rattler Classic and their upcoming match at home vs. Winona State. In the Spotlight: How are Alumni giving back to their school to help our current Student-Athletes in a program called “Mules for Life” and we drop in on the 2013 Athletics Auction.
